Whitney Wolfe, the Bumble CEO Redefines Lavish Through Her Nuptials

There are lavish weddings, and then there are weddings that redefine lavish. Bumble Founder and CEO, Whitney Wolfe’s wedding redefined lavish in its entirety. Her wedding to Michael Herd was not just any other wedding. It included arena-style seating and six designer outfit changes. The nuptials of Whitney Wolfe and Herd took place at Villa Tre Ville on the Amalfi coast in September. The wedding managed to keep to a minimum, the social media coverage. Wolfe enlisted the services of wedding stylist extraordinaire, Cynthia Cook Smith, responsible most of The Hamptons and St. Barth’s lavish weddings. She was responsible for curating the looks of the four-day-event that redefined grandeur. The first day of the even saw Wolfe wear couture Giambattista Valli dress.

On Friday, Wolfe wore a blue silk Oscar de la Renta dress during the day and Saint Laurent sequined dress during that evening. The piece de resistance of her big day was the Cotoured lace Oscar de la Renta gown with a four-foot train. It was magnificent. Delphine Manivet dress was meant for the dinner after the ceremony. Wolfe wore Naeem Khan dress for her evening dance. Suffice to say, Whitney Wolfe became the new wedding muse, and the several dress changes just blew everyone away.


Who is Whitney Wolfe?

Whitney Wolfe is an American entrepreneur, founder and chief executive officer of Bumble. She attended Southern Methodist University majoring in International Studies. She used to sell bamboo tote bags while in college to benefit areas affected by BP Oil spill. Bumble is an app that allows women to initiate contact. Europe’s dating company owns the majority and Bumble. It has a following of 11 million users as of January 2017. Bumble has recently launched the Bumble BFF feature which allows users to find friendships through the same swiping and matching algorithms.

Bumble has also launched Bumble Bizz which is a new mode in its app that will allow for professional networking and mentoring. Still, this feature is meant to help women decide who they want to talk to. Bizz allows users to add digital resumes, verified photos, has a skills section and where they can add examples of their previous work. Bumble’s HR team will also be in the app and has committed to hiring ten people who will be discovered via Bizz. Bumble has its headquarters in Austin Texas. Her business is all about female empowerment.
